Masterclasses for brass instruments section

I, CULTURE Orchestra is pleased to invite you to brass instruments masterclasses, which will be held in Warsaw on 15th November 2012. They will be conducted by Andre Cresci, the principal tuba in one of the best European orchestras –  Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (UK) and will cover various routine and breathing excercises and techniques. The masterclasses will take place at The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, room 441 (2nd floor), adress – ul. Okólniki 2, between 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM. No enrollment required.

Andy Cresci

Born in South Wales in 1959, educated at Neath Boys Grammar School became a member of Glyn Neath Silver band, and NYOW then studied at the RNCM. Whilst there he played with the Halle as a guest, joined CWS Manchester band and guested with most of the brass bands in the area. In 1980 Andy joined Scottish Opera. In 1986 he joined the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, where he has remained. Andy has played with most of the professional orchestras in the country as a guest. He has worked regularly with COE since 1985.

In 1996 he became Professor of low brass at the Royal Marines School of Music in Portsmouth.

Andy has tutored at both NYBBGB and NYWOW, and has given many lecture recitals at the music colleges and conservatoires around the UK.
