After the Vilnius concert

November 28, 2013, the I, CULTURE Orchestra performed in Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius.
The event preceded the 3rd Eastern Partnership Summit, which took place in Lithuanian Capital.

Orchestra, conducted by Łukasz Borowicz, performed Mikalojus K. Čiurlionis’ – Symphonic poem In the Forest, Witold Lutoslawski’s Concerto for Cello and Orchestra and Béla Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra. Soloist for the concert was German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser.
Present in the audience, among others, were Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Šarūnas Birutis and Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland Mr. Bogdan Zdrojewski. The concert was very well received by Vilnius audience, which rewarded the musicians with a standing ovation and repeatedly called the orchestra back on stage. As an encore, the orchestra performed the Mazurka from Moniuszko’s Halka.
